First Post This Year! 05/16/2012
We opened really early this year--April 1. This is the first chance I have had to update the site! We are adding products so fast that it will be another week or so before I get the Produce page or the Garden Products page updated. I apologize, but I really appreciate your patience! For those of you who have had a chance to stop by the stand, I hope you have enjoyed the upgrades we have done this year. We have been working hard to get everything ready and have strawberries for you as well. We know you are enjoying the strawberries! Peach season started this week as well so we are stocking our wonderful sweet peaches now too! And, BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND are the Crazy Lady's Strawberry/Peach cards! BUY 10 quarts of strawberries or peaches, get one quart FREE! Folks saved their cards from last year and others were asking about them so we are running this promotion again this year! We are glad you like our version of "frequent flyer" cards. Everyone seems to be enjoying our Clearance section which I fondly call our "Scratch and Dent" section. This is the section where we put our slightly bruised apples, cucumbers, eggplant, tomatoes, and squash at a drastically reduced price. These veggies still can be eaten, they just aren't the prettiest to look at. We also have the overripe bananas and the wrinkly peppers in our scratch and dent section. These are both good for muffins or sautees respectively. We also hope to expand our selection of spices and our organic sections. We are hearing what our customers are asking for and we are responding with positive (we think) changes. Keep the suggestions coming and as long as we have room, we will see what we can do about getting you what you want. Hope to see you this weekend! Denise Add Comment Strawberries AND Produce for you this year! 04/19/2011
With the Crazy Lady's Produce stand back in the parking lot at Taylor's Wine Shop, spring is back to 'normal' for me and lots of other folks who missed Crazy Lady's Produce over the winter. If you have stopped by the stand recently you know that we not only have STRAWBERRIES and strawberry cider but Jo has all kinds of produce too--Thank you Bob! Are you ready--in the fruit department; she has bananas, pineapples, and tomatoes all from Florida right now. The tomatoes from North Carolina will be ready in a couple of weeks. I will be letting you know when they will be available here on this blog and on Facebook! In the vegetable department, she has baking potatoes and sweet potatoes, spring onions and Vidalia onions, yellow and zucchini squash, alongside green peppers. Jo also has head lettuce, kale, and spinach in addition to eggplant, asparagus, and cucumbers. So, last year, during this time when strawberries were the only fare available, customers have ALOT to choose from. If you haven't yet, stop by and say hello--we are running a few other special programs too that you need to check out too! | AuthorI am Denise, the crazy lady with the dark hair. I am thrilled everyone is stopping by to see us! ArchivesMay 2012 CategoriesAll |
